Dabling with the Andrew Mullen Experience

By: Jerome Fitts

Remember the days when you were a passenger of a vehicle and you heard a song that you couldn’t get out of your head? Even better, have you ever sat at a bus terminal or have been eagerly awaiting for something in a customer service lounge then an amazing song came on and you asked; “Who was that and what is the name of that song?”

These days we all ask ourselves where in the world could we find a song that we can remember the chorous to that doesn’t have the words “nigger grab your dick or momma and poppa grab your balls etc” complimented with a dry loop in it. The most embarrassing part is, more so than not those songs are always in autotune disguising horrible lyrics and vocals. Sad but true in 2017, its gotten to that level of music based on the lack of creativity. Instant gratification at its finest! Is it safe to say we need a cure?

Well..here is Andrew Mullen!

Power of Choice. Andrew Mullen.
Power of Choice. Andrew Mullen. Copyright Streaming Records. 2017

Somewhere just north of Melbourne, Australia and to be more specific Yackandandah, Australia, Andrew Mullen delivers the first track “The Devils Innocent” (Crownn Records/Streaming Records) on March 27th, 2017, off a banger debut album titled “Intoxic”.

The song title itself may shock middle America but once you listen to the track or dare to read the lyrics the explanation is quite clear.  In a world where everyone wants to be offended to be awarded a selfie trophy of likes and shares, this young man have mastered his craft with  generic riffs, a gutair solo and lyrics to remind us that there are original artist out there.

The Devil Is Innocent track, will make you question the now popular lets be whores and updated slave tracks that are dominating our radio frequencies. Does this make the devil innocent when we have allowed music to be accepted if you can protray yourself as a whore or pimp in the name of your family.

Judge for yourself. Responses are welcome so go on and contact the man himself downunder..
