The Trend, a rock/pop quartet that consist of members, Ryan Malone, Del Greig, Johnny Carroll, Josh Carmichael, wrote in their new single “Just Another Friday” that there is a growing trend in their native city of Glasgow, Scotland. The proof in the pudding is in the opening line: “Everybody running for cover, look around there isn’t another friendly face in sight….” while simplifying the brilliant melodies in the chorus:

Lets hope these are just lyrics or the tourist board in Glasgow and its nearby city Edinburgh will be going through the roof.

No one can deny that after listening to the song in its entirety that The Trend are steadily working on mastering their craft in songwriting. For a band that was once considered one of the top unsigned acts in the UK, it is a solid single that shows they are stepping away from their embryonic phase. Perhaps this is because the lads are constantly touring the U.K. and their engine doesn’t seem to be slowing down anytime soon. Hint hint indie artist, get out there and gig.

Catch them live in supporting their recently released single  “Just Another Friday” (SoundHub Records. 2017) on any given day of the week. If you are in the area, go get your tickets as this will be one of those bands that you will claim to have seen before they take flight.
