Cameroon Cinema has once again produced an underrated film that resonates with many across the African continent. “Cutlass” showcases the natural talents of Cameroon, despite the challenges posed by limited access to what some may consider high-quality filmmaking resources. The screenplay serves as the captivating hook, drawing viewers into the impressive work delivered by the cast and crew.
A 16-year-old girl by the name of Vivian moves to live with her grandmother, “Ma Granny”, in the city of Bamenda, Cameroon. Upon her arrival, she is infatuated by Ben, a commercial bike rider from the city of Okada.
Ben so lovely and willing to be financially supportive, takes Vivian on a ride to a seemingly romantic but dangerous adventure.
